There’s been a lot of Star Wars related news as of late. Today, it’s been reported that Zack Snyder (300, Watchmen, Man of Steel) is developing a spin-off Star Wars movie based on Akira Kurosawa’s masterpiece Seven Samurai. He was one of the directors rumored to be involved in Star Wars VII, but I guess I wasn’t able to properly grasp the scope that Disney had envisioned for their newest acquisition. Apparently Disney CEO Bob Iger wants a new Star Wars film every two to three years. Couple that with their Marvel stuff, Pirates of the Caribbean, and the usual Disney animated movies, I’m thinking they’ll rule the planet within the next fifteen years. Continue Reading
It seems like every other year that we hear about a potential Star Wars TV series, but nothing ever comes out of it. But now with Disney’s acquisition of Lucas Film closed for good, it appears that the possibility of this show becoming a reality is just a few steps shy.
