There is an Ant-Man test footage/teaser trailer that exists out there somewhere, but Disney had been adamant about keeping all of it under wraps and taking down any videos that make it on-line WITH EXTREME PREJUDICE . I know, it’s a damn shame…but that doesn’t necessarily mean the internet can’t provide us with some interesting screen caps.
So behold, some test footage screen caps of Edgar Wright’s Ant-Man!
Watch as our hero shrink to the size of an ant, while maintaining his one-to-one human strength ratio.
This is how his costume looks from behind. It looks like the back of his neck is playing the harmonica.
This is how his costume looks from the front and it looks like a mixture of Judge Dredd and a dental office. This version of the costume seems to obscure the hero more so than the costume counterpart from the comics…if we’re talking strictly Hank Pym or the recent Scott Lang attire. Considering Edgar Wright has talked about this movie being comedic on more than one occasion, doubled with the fact that this new mask seems to cover his entire face (while incorporating elements of the first suit here), I can’t help but think that the movie Marvel universe will be introducing Eric O’Grady as our
morally destitute hero. I mean, it makes sense because having Hank Pym carry out a solo film all on his own could prove to be disastrously boring (he’s more scientist than a hero, kind of like Mister Fantastic) and the Avengers could always use ANOTHER rogue on their roster.
This movie is slotted for 2015 release and will be part of Marvel’s Phase Two line of films along with Iron Man 3, Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor: The Dark World, and Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
