You may have heard of a petition calling for the U.S. government to start constructing a Death Star in order to protect our planet. However, the dastardly Obama Administration had the nerves to reject the plan and let them down gently by proclaiming that blowing up other planets is not in their best interest ( I just want to take this moment to say that I’m a full supporter of “No Planets Left Behind”).
Well, somebody started a Kickstarter page in order to amass the amount of money they would require to start constructing it. The asking price is $31 million right now, but it would take a whole lot more zeroes to even begin thinking about building the thing. If you pay enough, they will even etch your name under one of the repair droids used to finish the station.
Here’s the detailed diagram of the Death Star on their page.
So far they seem to have the right idea, and they’ll be putting up an even more detailed diagram of the Death Star once they get enough funding. You can check out the Kickstarter page here. They also have a helpful FAQ section: iPod docks are under consideration at the moment.
